Loosening the knots in our lives

“Puri” is the revised romanization of 풀이, a word in Korean that means explanation or interpretation or proof (as in mathematical proofs). It is also closely related to the Korean verb 풀다, which means to untangle, untie, or loosen. I hope to support you and your loved ones in untangling and loosening problematic relationships in your life.

About

I think of my role as a therapist to be a “bridge person,” someone who helps bridge gaps between people, cultures, and generations through integrative Narrative Therapy. I think of the therapy space to be a place to experiment new ways of thinking, new ways of communicating, and new ways of doing things. And experimenting isn’t always successful the first time, so it is important for the therapy space to be safe enough for mistakes and failures. It should be a place where you can come to have difficult conversations. My hope is to provide and hold a safe space where you can come to work out things that are not working in your life and in your relationships. It’s a place to try out new things.
